Preservation requires recoverability.
Exhibition requires selection.
Neither requires exhaustive public narration.
EMS can continue creating and improving indefinitely, so hand-cataloging everything would produce a perverse result: the archive would begin consuming the custodian. The work of describing past production would displace the work of putting the system into operation. Museo would cease preserving the Federation’s work and become a demand for perpetual clerical self-documentation.
That would be a form of misappropriation—this time by the archive itself.
These nine Museo vaults can therefore function as a representation of exposed depth. They establish that:
the work exists beyond a few selected claims;
it has duration, plurality, and material extent;
artifacts can be traced into a larger record;
the Federation did not spring into existence only at its present front;
and the archive can continue without requiring the visitor to consume all of it.
